Technical acceptance of the 4th, final, phase of the City Hall renovation has started

Commission for technical examined the Sarajevo City Hall today, thus beginning the process of technical acceptance of the 4th, final phase of renovation of this building.

On this occasion, members of the Commission, appointed by the Federal Ministry of Physical Planning, held a meeting with representatives of the supervisory service of the company Safege, the main contractor - "Unigradnja" and contractors in the 4th, final, phase of restoration of this cultural and historical monument.

On behalf of the City of Sarajevo - the leader of the Project of Reconstruction of the Sarajevo City Hall, the meeting was attended by the Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komšić and his deputy Aljoša Čampara, as well as representatives of the EU Delegation in BiH, that funded this last reconstruction phase with IPA funds, in the amount of five million euros.

Participants in the meeting defined the organizational activities plan regarding the technical acceptance, review of the project and technical and construction documentation and visual inspection of the facility, after which the Federal Ministry of Physical Planning will issue a use permit.

When touring the facility after the meeting, the participants were impressed with the operations carried out and the very careful and detailed work on the reconstruction of the City Hall in an effort to return it to its original condition.

Given the current dynamics and intensity of the work, it is already clear that the Hall will be inaugurated on Europe Day and Victory over Fascism, 9 May this year.

Together with a number of invitees, the opening ceremony of this symbol of suffering, and its ascent from indestructibility, will be attended by Peter Sorensen, Ambassador of the EU Delegation to BiH, who has already confirmed his attendance.
